Guru Gobind Singhji is the tenth Sikh Guru who is also believed to be a warrior poet and a philosopher too. He is the last guru in the religion of Sikhism. His actual name was Gobind Rai. At the age of just nine, he was made the tenth guru after his father was martyred.
The last guru taught himself various languages and learnt martial arts. In 1688 he became victorious in a battle against Bhim Chand which lasted for a day. In 1699 he founded the khalsa which he defined as the way of life based on 5 K’s. i.e. kesh, kangha, kara, kaccheera, and kirpan. Guru gobind singhji also fought the Mughals and he took his last breath on 7th October 1708.
